Aims and Objectives
1. Create awareness of the value of clean and nutritious food.
How?
- By promoting good food at a grass roots level through:
- The OBDA website;
- local media;
- selected retailers (including farmer’s markets); and
- the food services industry.
Why grassroots?
- The focus is on building relationships.
- It is within the scope of our resources to impact on Adelaide and South Australia.
2. Support certified organic and bio-dynamic industry participants
How?
- Promotion of best practice philosophy.
- Promote the values of the organic and bio-dynamic philosophies.
- Engage, encourage and collaborate with those parties whose organic and bio-dynamic philosophies and values align with those of our members.
- Farm visits to educate members and the wider public.
- Deliver news and publications to all grower and retailer members through the website.
- Promote research and development through training, field experiments and other worthwhile initiatives.
- Gather, share and distribute market information to all parties who want to participate in the organic and bio-dynamic food chain.
- Networking.
3. Provide the industry with a consistent message.
How?
- Be inclusive.
- Co-operate.
- Promote.
- Be clear and disciplined about what we are trying to achieve.
